PENFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way recently held a site visit/board meeting at Camp Confidence, a member agency.

Camp Confidence is a summer camp for challenged youth from the area. It’s held annually at Camp Mountain Run near Penfield.

Camp Director Grace Marshall, right, is shown with CAUW board members reviewing information about the programs and services of Camp Confidence.

Students from any of the local high schools who may be interested in becoming a volunteer camp counselor for next summer are asked to contact the United Way at 814-765-6521.

“… So many teen counselors have gone on to work in the fields of education, speech therapy and a myriad of others, because of their work during summer camp. It is a great program, not only for the campers, but for the volunteers, as well,” stated Nancy Pinto of the United Way.
