BELL TOWNSHIP – A 41-year-old Punxsutawney man, Joseph A. Edwards, is facing charges in an aggravated assault case, according to Punxsutawney-based state police.
Edwards allegedly struck the victims’ vehicle in the rear during an incident that occurred at 6:20 p.m. Thursday on Route 36 near Pine Tree Road in Bell Township.
State police say that upon impact, a Punxsutawney couple – who arrived at the scene in a separate vehicle – subjected two of the three victims to unwanted physical contact.
Edwards was charged through the district court. Other charges are currently pending, however.
