CLEARFIELD – A former Clearfield woman arrested with seven other people during a drug raid in Clearfield Borough in January of 2016 pleaded guilty Monday in Clearfield County Court.
Melanie Joy Hartman, 25, currently an inmate of the Centre County Jail, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Judge Paul E. Cherry sentenced her to 36 days to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation. She was fined $300 plus costs. She is the fifth of these defendants to plead guilty.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer was investigating the distribution of methamphetamine and Subutex out of a Clearfield Borough home. A search warrant was executed at the residence on Jan. 15, 2016 and controlled substances were seized.
- Peter Murphy, 31, Woodland, and Dylan Thomas Kline, 24, Clearfield, were sentenced in February. Murphy pleaded guilty to several drug charges, including possession with intent to deliver Subutex and was sentenced by Cherry to one to three years in state prison. Kline pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to six months to three years in state prison.
- Joshua Robert Neptune, 26, Clearfield, pleaded guilty in March when he was given an eight to 16-month sentence with two years probation for criminal conspiracy and make repairs/sells offensive weapon.
- Stephanie Swanson, 28, Clearfield, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. In March she was sentenced to two years probation.
- A plea deal in the case against Mikhail Bloom Greenland, 29, Clearfield, with a probation sentence for charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy was rejected in February. Cherry asked for him to serve a minimum 90-day sentence. Greenland did not agree with that and withdrew his plea. His case was added to the trial list.
- Ethan William McLachlan, 26, Curwensville, failed to appear for his preliminary hearing in November and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest, according to online court documents. A hearing was held in his absence with all charges sent on to the Court of Common Pleas.
