State police at DuBois

  • On March 24 Charles E. Schumaker, 66, failed to register under the requirements of Megan’s Law when he left Just for Jesus. He failed to register his new address within three business days. State police said a warrant has been issued for Schumaker, and anyone with information is asked to contact the DuBois barracks at 814-371-4652.

State police at Philipsburg

  • State police are investigating an alleged Protection from Abuse order violation that occurred March 29 in Unionville Borough.
  • State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred March 27 on Buttonwood Street in Unionville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a computer and ladders from the victim’s residence.

State police at Ridgway

  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred Saturday on Coder Road in Horton Township. During the incident, the victim was contacted by phone and advised if she sent iTunes gift cards, they would send her $10,000 to her bank account. When she provided the gift cards, the caller would ask for more. She provided $550 in iTunes cards to the caller.

Lawrence Township

  • Police received a report about a bad check that was distributed to a local business.
  • Police received a report about a found dog in the Hill Street Extension area. It was transported to the SPCA by the dog law officer.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass by a motor vehicle and criminal mischief in the area of the Krebs Highway.
  • Police were requested to check the welfare of a young male on South Second Street.
  • Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Washington Avenue and McPherson Street.
  • Police received a report about the alleged theft of a cellular phone.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct involving an intoxicated male at the Riverside Motel.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment involving an adult male and a juvenile male.
  • Police received a report about an emergency custody order on Riverview Road.
  • Police received a report about an automatic fire alarm at the Hampton Inn.
  • Police responded to an alarm at a business on Route 879. Upon arrival, police found everything to be OK.
