Are you a game hunter or do you just enjoy learning about the Elk population that is now so popular in Pennsylvania?

You might like to attend “The Night the Lights went out in Karthaus” on March 29 to be presented at Karthus Center for Active Living, at the Sheppard of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3637 Main St., Karthaus.

If you watched the reality show titled “North Woods Law” that depicts the occupation of being a game warden, you might want to come and enjoy a bit of the real thing.

Wildlife Conservation Officer Mark Gritzer will provide a program and information on the investigation into the largest elk poaching case conducted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.  Three subjects were prosecuted with fines totaling $38,000 plus imprisonment.

The mission of the Pennsylvania Game Commission is to manage all birds, mammals and their habitats for current and future generations.

For more information, contact Judy Hugney at 814-263-7277.

Programs and services of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Mature Resources Foundation and local and client contributions.
