State police at Punxsutawney

  • State police received a report about a missing firearm Thursday on Fibber Road in Chest Township. The victim told state police his Taurus 24-7 Pro 9 stainless 9mm pistol was missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.

Clearfield Borough

  • Police responded to a possible break-in at a residence along Williams and Smith streets. Upon arrival police found the residence was within Lawrence Township; township officers subsequently responded to the scene.
  • Police served a warrant on a female along East Cherry Street. She was housed in the Clearfield County Jail on a warrant.
  • Police were called to South Fourth Street to assist Crisis personnel with an evaluation.
  • Police are investigating an alleged retail theft that occurred at a business along East Market Street.
  • Police will be providing extra patrols in the area of Daisy Street. Residents have reported that there is garbage being disposed of in the alleys as well as motorists speeding.
  • Police arrested a male who was allegedly trespassing and found to be in possession of narcotics. He was on probation and put in the Clearfield County Jail on a violation.  Charges are pending at this time, police said.
  • Police reported damage to flower pots along South Third Street.

Lawrence Township

  • Police received a report about a possible burglary. Upon arrival police found there wasn’t any entry made into the residence.
  • Police received a report about a phone scam.
  • Police received a report about two, different disabled vehicles in the area of Route 879.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Daisy and 14th
  • Police received a report about a male who was outside stumbling around in the area of Daisy and 14th
  • Police received a report about possible elder abuse. The incident was listed as unfounded, police said.
  • Police received a request for information about a possible wanted person.
  • Police received a report about a missing brown and white Jack Russell Terrier from the Hyde area. It was last seen along Washington Avenue in the area of the Clearfield Junior-Senior High School. Police said the dog has difficulty hearing, seeing and walking and is wearing a black collar with tags. Anyone with information is asked to contact township police or Clearfield County Control.
  • Police responded to an alarm at Big Lots.
  • Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Police have identified the suspect’s vehicle and the investigation is pending.
  • Police received a report about an alleged retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. A male actor was identified and charges are to be filed, police said.
  • Police received a report about a possible prowling incident in the area of Plymptonville. The incident was listed as unfounded, police said.
  • Police assisted emergency personnel at a residence on Wrigley Street.
  • Police assisted the fire department with an alarm at Target Square.

Decatur Township

  • Police responded to an activated alarm at the Mount Nittany Group at the Peebles Plaza. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
  • Police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Keystone Hill Road. Further, police found a child was playing with a cell phone.
  • Police responded to a single-vehicle accident along Route 153 near the Sanborn Road intersection. A male driver was taken by emergency personnel to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital, police said.
  • Police responded to a hit-and-run at a Stumptown Road address.
  • Police located two suspicious vehicles at a local business on Irwin Road. However, police didn’t find anything criminal in nature.
