Moore to Stand Trial for Allegedly Standing Naked in Doorway near Elementary School

DUBOIS – A DuBois man will stand trial for allegedly standing naked in his doorway near an elementary school.

Gregory V. Moore, 65, is facing charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident at his home on Feb. 23.

DuBois Woman Allegedly Found with Heroin Waives Hearing

DUBOIS – A DuBois woman allegedly found in possession of a quantity of heroin waived her right to a preliminary hearing Friday during centralized court.

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted male.

DuBois Man Accused of Stealing Several Firearms in Burglary

DUBOIS – A DuBois man has been accused of burglarizing a Sandy Township residence and stealing several firearms.

Matthew Alexander Basinger, 36, 118 Robinson St., DuBois, was charged May 26 by Sandy Township police with felony counts of burglary, criminal trespass and seven counts of theft by unlawful taking. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 1.

Former JCPenney Employee Accused of Stealing More Than $5,000

DUBOIS – A DuBois woman is facing theft charges for stealing more than $5,000 from her employer.

Christine M. Skaggs, 43, 314 S. Church St., DuBois, was charged by Sandy Township police last week with 21 counts of theft by unlawful taking as a result of her actions April 9 through Oct. 11 while she was employed by JCPenney at the DuBois Mall.

Dept. of Health Announces First Phase of Temporary Regulations for Medical Marijuana Implementation in PA

HARRISBURG – Department of Health Secretary Karen Murphy has announced the department has started working on temporary regulations in order to implement the medical marijuana program in Pennsylvania and will be seeking input from the public, stakeholders, and partners throughout the process.

CLEARFIELD – A husband accused of sending life-threatening text messages to his wife waived the charges to court at his preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

CLEARFIELD – Local police busted a “sophisticated marijuana growing operation” Wednesday afternoon in Clearfield, according to a news release from Clearfield Borough police.
