CLEARFIELD – A husband accused of sending life-threatening text messages to his wife waived the charges to court at his preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Eric Scott Gillingham, 32, of Lebanon has been charged by state police at Clearfield with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct. His bail has been set at $25,000 monetary.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 18 a woman contacted state police to report her husband who had allegedly sent her life-threatening text messages.

In his first text, Gillingham stated he “was going to pay her” by smashing her [expletive] skull, which would be “doing everyone a favor,” the victim told state police.

In another text, he allegedly told the victim to make sure she went to see her dad and to let him know she would be joining him soon in heaven.

“… I’m going to get my hands on u very soon, so u better know how to sleep with ur eyes open,” he stated, according to the affidavit.

“I am going to gut u life.” He also warned her that she would find out very soon.

The victim told state police that the text messages from Gillingham made her fear for her life.
