CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville Borough police are seeking the public’s assistance in their search for the suspect vehicle in relation to the alleged abduction and rape that occurred March 9 in Curwensville.
Police have described the suspect vehicle as being a “work type van.” It is believed to be white in color without any side windows, police said.
According to the initial police report, a woman was abducted in the South Side area March 9 when several men approached her from behind and placed a bag over her head before forcing her into a vehicle.
The victim was allegedly tied and bound with rope and driven around while being raped for several hours. She was also struck about her body, police said.
The victim was later allegedly ordered out of the vehicle with her bindings cut, her head covered with the bag and being gagged at her mouth. The suspects told her to get walking and then fled the area.
The victim found herself in Anderson Creek in the area of Filbert Street. She made it to Fuel On, where she summoned for police assistance, according to the initial police report.
