CLEARFIELD – On Tuesday the Clearfield County Commissioners approved two polling place changes upon request from Dawn Graham, director of elections.

The first polling place change impacts Burnside Borough. Its polling place was located at the Burnside Borough building.

However, Graham said it is not handicapped- accessible. As a result, she said it is being moved to the Burnside United Methodist Church; the church is located at 65 E. Third St., Burnside.

The second polling place change impacts DuBois City’s Second Ward. It was located at the DuBois Volunteer Fire Company.

Graham said it was located along the roadway, and it had created a safety concern. She said it is being moved to the Christ Lutheran Church; the church is located at 875 Sunflower Dr., DuBois.

“After careful consideration, we feel that these options meet all of the necessary requirements needed for a polling place, such as handicapped-accessibility and ample parking.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Graham at 212 E. Locust St., Suite 106, Clearfield PA 16830 or by e-mail at elections@clearfield.org.

Graham also reminded people of upcoming election deadlines:

  • Last day to register before primary, March 28
  • Last day to apply for civilian absentee ballot, April 19
  • Last day for county’s Board of Elections to receive voted civilian absentee ballots, April 22
  • General primary, April 26
