Obituary Notice: Marian Grace Reams

Marian Grace Reams, 84, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and formerly of Philipsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at Carrington Place at St. Pete, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Born July 17, 1931 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Roy G. and Jessie (Hughes) Reams.

Ms. Reams was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla.  She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Bell Telephone Retirees.

She retired from Bell Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania in 1983 after 33 years of service. She was a 1950 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.

She enjoyed woodworking, gardening and the computer.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Reams was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Altman and Zula R. Dunlap and three brothers, Benjamin G. Reams, Roy L. Reams and David B. Reams.

She is survived by three nieces, Bonnie Hutton, Sharon Comitz and Susanne Moore; three nephews, Don R. Altman, David R. Dunlap and John David Reams; and a sister-in-law, Alice Reams.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating.  Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Wesley United Methodist Church, 301 37th Ave., North St. Petersburg, FL 33704, or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Front St.
Philipsburg, PA 16866.
