ALTOONA — The Clearfield fall baseball team remained at .500 by splitting a doubleheader with Bishop Guilfoyle Sunday afternoon, winning 14-4 in six innings before being tagged with a 14-5 loss.
Marcus Luzier paced a 15-hit attack in the opener with a double and three singles.
Winning pitcher Will Myers aided his own cause with three singles, while Jon Trimpey belted two doubles, Tommy Hazel had a double and a single and Justin Fedder added two singles.
Trimpey and Wyatt Porter had two hits apiece in the second game.
Clearfield also was on the road Thursday and settled for a 6-6 tie with DuBois in a VFW Teener Fall Ball game halted after nine innings because of darkness.
Trimpey had three of Clearfield’s nine hits. Myers and Luzier singled twice.
Clearfield (2-2-1) will be back at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Field Thursday for a 4:15 p.m. rematch with DuBois.
