Obituary Notice: Leo J. Bagrosky

Leo J. Bagrosky, 96, of Midland, Mich., and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Aleda Lutz Veterans Hospital in Saginaw, Mich.

Born April 9, 1919 in Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Slogoski) Bagrosky.

He married his first wife, Mabel (Gallaher) Bagrosky, on Feb. 14, 1943 in Norman, Okla.; she died May 21, 1973.

He wed his second wife, Lucille (Merrell) Carson Bagrosky, on Aug. 12, 1976 in Philipsburg; she preceded him in death on April, 24, 2000.

Mr. Bagrosky was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.  He was a member of VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills and B.P.O. Elks No. 1173 in Philipsburg.

Mr. Bagrosky was a retired machinist. He was a 1938 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Miscavish and a brother-in-law, Andrew Comitz Jr.

Mr. Bagrosky is survived by two step-daughters, Barbara Chumard and her, husband, Gef of Middleton, NY and Kathleen Makuch and her husband, Garry of Mechanicsburg; two sons, John L. Bagrosky and his wife, Candice of Columbia, Md., and Lee E. Bagrosky and his wife, Mary Pat of Midland, Mich.; a sister, Rita Comitz of Osceola Mills; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father Robert J. Horgas officiating.  Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills.

Military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.

Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Osceola Mills is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post No. 5020, 613 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA 16666.
