OSCEOLA MILLS – More than 100 new- and gently-used children’s books were delivered recently to the Osceola Mills Public Library as part of the Clearfield Area United Way’s Reading Ripples Project.

More than 3,000 books have been distributed to children throughout the county since the program began. Nancy Pinto of the United Way asks that anyone who would like to collect new- or gently-used books to please contact the CAUW at 814-765-6521 for more information.

“Kids who love reading live happily ever after and we believe this project has made a wonderful difference to our area,” she noted.

“It is a great partnership to be able to work with these great recipient groups. Remember your favorite childhood book and the way it could fire your imagination … that is why the United Way believes early grade reading is so important,” stated Terry.
