Joseph J. Millan, 84, of DuBois died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Christ the King Manor.
Born March 9, 1931 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Mary Kardell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
On April 23, 1994, he married Donna Kness Millan. She survives.
Mr. Millan retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller after more than 30 years of service.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17, the Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited and the Potter County Anglers Club.
He is survived by a son, John Kness and his wife, Valerie and their children, Anthony and Ethan; three daughters, Terry Millan and her children, Scott, Carrie and Nikki, Carla Coulson and her husband, Dave and their children, Julie and Steven and Christina Hannon and her daughter, Nia; two sisters, Madelin Shedletsky and Theresa Backus; and 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. James Kennelley as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 25 Robinson St., and or Christ the King Manor, 1100 W. Long Ave., both in DuBois, PA 15801.
