CLEARFIELD – The Governor’s ImPAct Awards recognize organizations for their sustained commitment to the growth and development of its employees and the communities they serve.

Companies from throughout the state are recognized in five categories: Community Impact, Entrepreneurial Impact, Export Impact, Jobs That Pay and Small Business Impact.

CNB Bank has been named a finalist in the Community Impact category, which is awarded to a company that exemplifies the tenet of “doing well by doing good.”

“We are honored to be recognized with this important distinction,” said Joseph B. Bower Jr., President and chief executive officer of CNB Bank.

“As a local community bank, CNB is dedicated to the continued growth and well-being of the communities in which we operate, and devoted to the customers we serve. To be acknowledged for these efforts is especially gratifying for all of us.”

Over the course of the year, CNB’s community involvement is diverse and widespread. Initiatives include CNB’s Community Involvement Challenge, a program designed to increase involvement by its employees in the community and deliver a big impact.

CNB also donates hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to local organizations and sponsors more than 50 elementary and high schools in the North Central region to promote financial literacy.

CNB Bank was nominated for the Community ImPAct Award by the North Central Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) region.

PREP is a statewide network of partners that strives to regionalize and coordinate local economic development services to businesses and entrepreneurs.  Awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey on May 21.

Representatives from the Team Pennsylvania Foundation and Journal Multimedia evaluated the nominations and will select the award recipients.
