State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft occurred Friday in the 1000 block of Sunny Side Road in Centre County. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to the victim’s credit card and used it for a purchase at a Target store in Pittsburgh. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- An accident occurred Monday on Laurel Street in Philipsburg Borough. Jamie A. Cowfer of Philipsburg was traveling westbound while Steve L. Barnyak of Sandy Ridge was traveling on North Second Street. Cowfer failed to stop and proceeded into the intersection, striking the Barnyak vehicle. The Cowfer vehicle sustained disabling front bumper damage; the Barnyak vehicle sustained minor passenger’s side damage. No injuries were reported and the Cowfer vehicle was towed from the scene.
- An incident of criminal trespass occurred Friday on North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. The victim told police she believed that her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend entered her residence while she was gone and engaged in sexual relations in her bed. State police noted there wasn’t any evidence to support the victim’s accusation. It was further noted that both the ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend claimed they lied about having sexual relations in the victim’s bed in order to hurt her feelings.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Friday on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. Further, the suspect vehicle was traveling west when it side-swiped a Nissan Altima that was parked along the street. The suspect vehicle then fled west on Presqueisle Street and is believed to have damage to the passenger’s side rearview mirror. State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday along Pine Avenue in Jay Township. Further, a 23-year-old Pittsburgh man allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation at the victim’s residence, during which he picked up a wooden object and smashed a window out. The man, state police said, then fled the scene on foot; he was charged through the district court for the incident.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on River Road. No injuries or towing were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a possible missing child. Further, police located her and determined she was a runaway.
- Police assisted Glen Richey fire personnel with locating a male who was lost in the woods in the area of little Clearfield Creek.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint on South Second Street.
