CLEARFIELD – The Northern Allegheny Roller Derby League has a bout scheduled for Saturday. It’s to be played at the Skate Station in Clearfield.
It will start at 6 p.m.; the doors will open at 5 p.m. The cost is $7 at the door and children (10 years and younger) are free.
The home team, The Backwoods Bruisers, will face the Pittsburgh East Roller Villains. There is limited seating available.
Spectators are asked to bring a donation for a local battered women’s shelter. Items needed include shampoo, conditioner, body washes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, blankets, etc.
Also, a portion of the proceeds from the roller derby event will be donated to the shelter.
The next game is scheduled for Aug. 23 at 4:30 p.m. against the J-town Roller Girls from Johnstown.
