Joan A. Goodrow, 72, of Woodland, died Tuesday, June 24 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Clearfield, the daughter of Clifford and E. Louise (Yingling) Smay.
Mrs. Goodrow had worked at Christ the King Manor and Ridgeview Elder Care as a licensed practical nurse. She was Christian by faith.
Mrs. Goodrow is survived by her husband, Ward O. Goodrow Jr., whom she married on Sept. 3, 1981; a son, Clifford C. McFaye and his wife, Samantha of Woodland; two grandchildren, Clifford McFaye II and Mikayla McFaye, both of Woodland; three step-children, John Goodrow, Sandy Gillingham and Barbara Lines; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Shaffer; and a step-son, Douglas Goodrow.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 12 p.m. until the hour of services at 1 p.m. Friday.
