KNOX TOWNSHIP – Two New Millport residents were flown to Altoona after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday on Pine Run Road in Knox Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
Further, an unknown male was traveling westbound when his vehicle struck another head-on. After impact the male fled the scene leaving the occupants of the other vehicle trapped inside it.
The suspect vehicle had caught fire with it spreading to the other vehicle. Its occupants were able to free themselves; however, both were flown to Altoona for medical treatment, said state police.
State police believe the suspect vehicle is a 1990’s model of a Ford Explorer. Its male operator may have sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
