Obituary Notice: Bonnie Fay Baughman

Bonnie Fay Baughman, 73, of Osceola Mills died Wednesday, 23, 2014 at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Velma (Dixon) Hanna born March 5, 1941 in Allemansville.  She married James F. Baughman on Sept. 5, 1964 in Osceola Mills; he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2010.

Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, where she was in the Chancel Choir. She was also the treasurer of the Willing Workers Sunday school class, vice president of the United Methodist Women and a member of the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Baughman was the parish nurse.

She was a member of the Columbia Fire Company’s ladies auxiliary in Osceola Mills. She was also a member of the Osceola Mills Women’s Civic Club and on the Penn Highlands Health Care Advisory Board.  She was a retired registered nurse for Clearfield Hospital and Home Health.  She was a 1959 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School and of the Altoona School of Nursing.

Mrs. Baughman is survived by two sons, Mark D. Baughman and his wife, Michelle of Niceville, Fla. and the Rev. Paul W. Baughman and his wife, Karen of York; a sister, Debra Curry and her husband, Phillip of Allemansville; a brother, Charles Hanna and his wife, Ruth of Warriors Mark; a sister-in-law and a brother- in-law, Jean and Jordan Smith of Osceola Mills; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes and the Rev. Paul W. Baughman, her son officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Tuesday at the church.
