UNIVERSITY PARK – The Mt. Nittany Marathon will be held at 8 a.m. Sept. 1, starting at Penn State’s Medlar Field at Lubrano Park and ending near Beaver Stadium. All proceeds will benefit the Mount Nittany Conservancy, a nonprofit group of volunteers that maintain nearly nine miles of trails.

The day before the 26.2-mile race, the America’s Longest Pasta Table will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 31, at Pugh Street and Calder Way. The price for the pasta dinner is $10 for the general public and $5 for registered runners. The dinner is sponsored by Fasta & Ravioli Co., DelGrosso’s, Champs, Damon’s Grill, Gemelli Bakers, Sysco, PSUKnowHow, W.R. Hickey, 3WZ and the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Those non-runners interested in being part of the pasta dinner can register at mtnittany.org/marathon, pay for their reservation by cash or check at the Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau office on Porter Road near Park Avenue or pay at the Welcome Table on location the night of the dinner.

For more information on the marathon contact John Hook at John@MtNittany.org. For more information on the pasta dinner contact the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau at info@visitpennstate.org or 814-231-1400.
