Police Report: Sandy Township

  • A Treasure Lake resident reported Monday that a white Jeep Liberty driven by a 30-year-old Treasure Lake man struck a tree on Bay Road and then left the scene. Police located the driver at his home.  The situation was handled without incident.
  • On Monday a 31-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported being harassed by her mother.
  • A false alarm occurred Monday at Gateway Café.
  • On Monday a vehicle driven by a Clearfield woman struck a vehicle driven by DuBois woman while backing out of a parking space in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
  • On Monday police were called to a Treasure Lake residence where a woman reported her son was acting strange. She thought he might be abusing prescription drugs.  Upon police arrival, the 30-year-old man was asleep and all appeared to be OK.
  • A vehicle driven by a 19-year-old woman and a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old woman were involved in a minor accident Monday at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Shaffer Road.  No injuries and minor damage were reported.
  • On Tuesday Clearfield County Control advised they received a suspicious call from the DuBois Nursing Home.  Police found it was a patient who was reporting someone making noise in the hall.  The situation was handled without incident.
  • Police received a noise complaint from Circle Road resident on Tuesday.  There wasn’t any loud noise when police arrived in the area.
  • A 19-year-old Reynoldsville woman reported Tuesday that her vehicle was struck by another vehicle earlier in the day.
  • Employees of Dollar General reported Tuesday that a female took a bottle of Febreeze without paying for it.  The 29-year-old South Brady Street woman will be cited for retail theft.
  • Employees of Friendly Tavern reported Tuesday that a man walked out of the Six Pack Shop with two, 12 packs of beer without paying for them.
