DUBOIS – The second-ever Suicide Prevention Ride will take place Aug. 3 and will be sponsored by the Jefferson County ABATE Chapter No. 14.

All Proceeds benefit the Clearfield/Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team. Registration is $10 per rider, and all street legal vehicles are welcome to participate in the event.

The ride will be held rain or shine. A free ride bandana will be provided by the Clearfield/Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team.

Registration will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., and kickstands go up at 10:45 a.m. at the DuBois American Legion Post No. 17, located at 315 Liberty Blvd., Dubois.

The ride will be for approximately 100 miles with stops at the Forest Way Inn, Brookville; Vince’s Tavern, Leeper; Ray’s Hot Spot, Marienville; Toby Hill Bar & Grill, Clarion; and then back at the Dubois American Legion Post No. 17.

After the ride, the Jefferson County ABATE Chapter No. 14 will hold their annual summer pig roast, and more information will be provided at registration.

Anyone who participates in the ride is welcome to attend the pig roast afterward. The cost is $5 per person for non-chapter members. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish or dessert to share, as well as their own beverage.
