Police Report: Clearfield Borough

  • Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief at the Clearfield Community Pool; sometime Thursday night, a suspect(s) entered the pool area and caused damage.
  • A phone scam was reported to police, and the victim lost a substantial amount of money.  Police would like to remind residents to use caution when providing information over the phone.  Residents should also be cautious when asked to send money to an unknown person or location.
  • Police responded to Bob’s Army & Navy for a retail theft incident. The male fled on foot. Police apprehended the male a short time later and recovered the merchandise.
  • Police responded to an alarm on Power Avenue and found that a delivery driver had set the alarm off.
  • Police responded to Turnpike Avenue for a reported fight.  Upon arrival police could not locate anyone in the area.
  • Police assisted members of ABATE with a charity motorcycle ride.  For safety bikers were escorted through the borough by a police officer.
  • Police received a traffic complaint in the area of Cumberland Street.
  • Police received a report of a child who was riding a pedal car in a busy parking lot.  The child was gone when police arrived.
  • Police responded to Williams Street to check the welfare of a female who has not been receiving phone calls.  Police found her to be OK.
  • Police handled a burning complaint along Clearfield Street.
  • Police stopped a male for public intoxication and urinating on the sidewalk.  The male then pushed away from police and attempted to flee on foot.  He was apprehended a short distance away.  He was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
  • Police handled a verbal domestic incident along Leavy Avenue.
  • Police checked on a group of individuals who were laying a parking lot along Daisy Street.  They were found to be OK.
  • Police responded to Nichols Street for an unwanted individual.  Police advised the male to leave for the evening.
  • Police responded to Bridge Street for a group of individuals who may have been under the influence.  They were found to be OK.
  • Police report that someone flattened tires to a vehicle, while it was parked along the 600 block of Daisy Street.
