CLEARFIELD – The fourth annual Clearfield YMCA Fair Fun 5K and 100-Meter Dash will take place Aug. 3, rain or shine.
Registration will be held from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. at the David H. Litz Grove Stage at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. The Fair Fun 5K Run/Walk will start at 8:30 a.m.; the 100-Meter Dash will start at approximately 9:30 a.m. after the finish of the 5K Run/Walk.
Early registration must be postmarked by July 22 and is $20 with an event T-shirt. It is $15 without an event T-shirt. Early registration for the 100-Meter Dash is $10 and includes a T-shirt.
Late or event-day registration is $25 for the 5K Run/Walk and $15 for the 100-Meter Dash. T-shirts are not guaranteed to late or event-day registrants.
Trophies will be presented to first through third place finishers for the overall male and female. Individual male and female awards will be given in the following age groups: 14 years and under, 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years and 60 years and older.
The awards ceremony will be held after the 100-Meter Dash. Duplicate awards will not be given, and you must be present to receive your award.
Registrants can pick up their packets from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Clearfield YMCA.
Strollers and dogs are also welcome to join participants and are allowed on the course. Event organizers ask that these participants start the race at the back. Dogs must be on a leash.
Post-race food and beverages will be provided, and restroom facilities will be available at the fairgrounds. Shower facilities will also be available after the race at the Clearfield YMCA.
