WEST DECATUR – The Central Intermediate Unit # 10 has announced it will offer a two-day training for educators. This event will be held Aug. 6-7 at the CIU # 10 in West Decatur.
This opportunity is for new, substitute and mentor teachers, as well as those looking to walk away with educational practices that can immediately be implemented in the classroom. Topics will include:
·        Classroom Management
·        RtII tier 1 Practices
·        Student Engagement
·        Special Education
·        School Law
·        Standard Aligned System (SAS)
Along with these topics, a panel of experienced educators will be available for a question and answer session. An optional continued book study for Act 48 hours featuring What Great Teachers Do Differently by Todd Whitaker is also included in the $40 a day registration fee.
