Police Report: Sandy Township

  • Police responded to a Treasure Lake residence three, different times on Wednesday for a domestic disturbance.  A 23-year-old man was refusing to go to the hospital for treatment of mental health issues. Police handled these calls without incident.  The man eventually agreed to going to the hospital, police said.
  • A 27-year-old Brockway man reported that a man threw a bottle at his vehicle in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Thursday.  He then followed the vehicle to a South Avenue residence. Police spoke to the 29-year-old man and found it was an accident and not intentional.  The situation was handled without incident.
  • A false alarm occurred Thursday at a Treasure Lake residence.
  • Someone broke into the old Ramada Inn and took copper pipe on Thursday.
  • On Thursday, police found a 35-year-old man who was building a fire in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  The man was advised to extinguish the fire, and the situation was handled without incident.
