CLEARFIELD – Clearfield schools will be losing Superintendent Dr. Thomas B. Otto to the Altoona Area School District on or around July 1, according to school board President Dave Glass.
“On behalf of the Clearfield Area Board of School Directors, we were informed this weekend that Dr. Thomas Otto has accepted the superintendent position with the Altoona School District,” wrote Glass. “While we are disappointed that he chose not to complete his contract here, we respect his right to make this move. We thank him for his work in Clearfield and wish him well.”
Glass said the district’s search will begin immediately for Otto’s replacement. He said the board will have further public comment at its next public meeting on Feb. 25.
