DUBOIS – A Big Run woman who invited a Pittsburgh man into town to sell drugs waived her right to a preliminary hearing Friday before Magisterial District Judge Patrick Ford.

Kristen Marie Woods, 29, 103 Mitchell Ave., Big Run, is charged with criminal conspiracy/manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, dealing in proceeds of an unlawful activity and criminal use of communication facility. Her bail was set at $50,000, unsecured.

The charges stem from an incident on Aug. 29. According to the affidavit of probable cause, after Shane McCrommon, 37, Pittsburgh was arrested for selling heroin, he told police that Woods invited him to her home, stating he could make a lot of money selling heroin and crack cocaine in the area.

McCrommon, faces charges of two counts of manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of firearm prohibited. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 2. He remains in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $250,000.

Also charged in connection with this case is John William Kormos, 30, 136 Lily St., Apollo, who is charged with criminal conspiracy/manufacture, delivery, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity. He also waived his right to a hearing Friday. His bail is $200,000 monetary.

According to the criminal complaint, Kormos told police he came to the area with McCrommon and Katelynn Henry to give them directions to the Woods residence. He only knew McCrommon as “P” and was aware he was there to sell narcotics. But, Kormos wasn’t sure how many drugs he had with him.

Henry waived her right to a hearing Sept. 14. She is charged with manufacture/delivery/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered, and criminal conspiracy. Her bail is $125,000.

McCrommon and Henry were arrested, according to the affidavit, after an undercover officer and an informant arranged a heroin sale in a parking lot at the rear of a grocery store in DuBois. McCrommon handed the informant a total of 10 stamp bags of heroin, which he thought the officer was going to be selling to another individual. When the officer exited the vehicle and walked over to the customer, members of the Clearfield County Drug Task Force along with DuBois City Police officers took McCrommon, Henry and the informant into custody.

As he was searched, McCrommon was found to have a large amount of currency on him. He also had a safe box which contained 31 bundles of heroin, 10 loose stamp bags of heroin, two separate bags with crack cocaine and a handgun.
