Obituary Notice: Richard “Dick” Horak

Richard “Dick” Horak, 82, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.

He was born Jan. 30, 1930 in Reynoldsville, the son of Edward Vincent and Anna (Feldbauer) Horak. Mr. Horak was Christian by faith.

He had a 42-year career with Riverside Market as manager and owner.

Mr. Horak was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Clearfield Lodge #540, and the Bee Hollow Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Constance “Connie” (Campanini) Horak of Clearfield, whom he married June 6, 1953; three sons, Michael Horak and his wife, Debbie of Landenberg, Edward Horak and his wife, Nancy of DuBois and David Horak and his wife, Maritess of Gloucester, MA and two grandchildren, Richard Horak and Susan Horak, both of DuBois.

Mr. Horak was the last member of his generation and was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. John F. White officiating. Burial will be in the Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Lifeline, 209 East Walnut St., Clearfield, PA 16830 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
