Martha W. Nipson, 99, ofClearfielddied Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing andRehabilitationCenter,Clearfield.
She was born Feb. 22, 1913, inAshville,NC, the daughter of John W. and Annie (Moore) Nipson Jr.
She was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church ofClearfield.
She’d been employed by Robinson Clay Products in the 1960’s as a secretary and the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until her retirement.
She is survived by two nieces, Maria Nipson ofAlbuquerque,NMand Anna (Jones) Scott, two nephews, Carl Seitz ofClearfieldand Herbert E. Nipson ofCambridge,MA.
She was the last member of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Carrol Jones, Margaret Childress and Bette Seitz and two brothers, Herbert and John W. Nipson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Glenn Williams officiating.
Burial will be in theHillcrestCemetery.
Friends will be received 10 a.m. until the hour of the services.
