Police Report: Lawrence Township

  • An incident of theft occurred at a local motel.
  • A traffic violation occurred on Mount Joy Road, where a vehicle was observed speeding on numerous occasions.
  •  Suspicious activity was reported on Hall Street; however, police discovered a resident was building a flower bed.
  • A local business reported an incident of bad checks.
  • An incident of criminal mischief and theft occurred at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Unknown male suspects broke into a phone card machine and removed money. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Clearfield Borough police were assisted with a single-vehicle accident on Guelich Avenue.
  • A camp was reportedly burglarized on McGeorge Road. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Police responded to the Sheetz store located on state Route 879 for a tractor-trailer, which was leaking corn onto the roadway.
  • A single-vehicle accident occurred on SR 879 near Swisher Concrete. A motorist had overloaded his trailer, which broke free from his trailer and blocked traffic.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred on U.S. Route 322 and Flegal Road. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
  • A weapons call was received by police who responded to the Aspen Springs area, where a larger caliber firearm was used to destroy a mailbox. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle after causing the damage.
  • A single-vehicle accident occurred on Woodland Road; the investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending at this time.
