Sarah Verbeke of Somerville, NJ and formerly of Reynoldsville recently returned to the area to complete volunteer projects. As she turns 50 this year, Verbeke is fulfilling a goal to complete 50 volunteer efforts throughout the year.

While here, Verbeke volunteered for five days at various booths and buildings for the Jefferson County Fair in Brookville. Locally, she worked alongside her brother, Vince and his wife, Laurie in Clearfield as well.

She helped with ongoing efforts of the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. to enhance the physical appearance of downtown Clearfield by removing weeds from around signs and curbs along East Market and North Second streets.

Verbeke also helped with the cleanup and planting of the large planter box of the Clearfield Housing Authority along Leavy Ave.
