Obituary Notice: Peggy Lou McCracken

Peggy Lou McCracken, 59 of Clearfield died on July 3, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1953 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Oliver D. and Viola (Kline) McCracken.

Peggy was employed as a waitress at the Dimeling Hotel, Clearfield. She was named Miss Pennsylvania Wheelchair Queen and also competed for Miss Universe Wheelchair Queen in Columbus, OH.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812 Auxiliary, Clearfield.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Charles of Clearfield; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers William and David McCracken; a sister-in-law Glendora McCracken; a brother-in-law Clifton Charles and a nephew Billy McCracken.

A Blessing Service will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11 a.m. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Special Olympics, 2570 Blvd. of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA, 19403.
