UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State All-Sports Museum is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and inviting the public to join in the festivities. The Museum will host two open houses: Saturday, April 21 (6:30-9 p.m.) and Sunday, April 22 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), during Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA.

Opened in 2002, the Penn State All-Sports Museum has spent the last decade celebrating the traditions and achievements that have made the Nittany Lions one of the national’s elite collegiate programs. The open houses for visitors will feature tours, family activities, games, films and refreshments. The Museum will also be opening a new anniversary exhibit featuring highlights from noted Penn State collector George Henning.

The 10th Anniversary will also see the Museum launch a new system of interactive touchscreens in its galleries. These will allow visitors to search through the past to find former athletes, coaches, and staff, as well as will provide a wealth of season-by-season information including a variety of audio and video clips. These new touchscreens will be spread throughout the galleries which currently feature separate exhibits for each of Penn State’s varsity sports including three that have been discontinued: rifle, boxing, and bowling.

The All-Sports Museum anniversary is one of many exciting events happening at Penn State during Blue-White Weekend. The annual event centered on the Penn State football spring game begins Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m. with a carnival in the Beaver Stadium West Lot and fireworks at 9 p.m. The carnival re-starts at 10 a.m. on the 21st with football autographs at Noon and the Blue-White game at 2 p.m. The carnival runs until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and will also feature attractions at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The Penn State All-Sports Museum is located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium on Penn State’s University Park campus. The Museum includes over 10,000 square feet of exhibits tracing Penn State’s proud athletic legacy back to its earliest roots. Visitors to the Museum are immersed in the Penn State experience as they connect with athletes and teams from the past and present. Additional information regarding the Museum may be found at www.gopsusports.com/museum.
