Mary Louise Hosack Wayland, age 86, of Hepburn Road in DuBois, PA died Dec. 18, 2011 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1925 in Allegheny County. She was the daughter of the late James & Hilda (Brocious) Hosack.
On Sept. 10, 1955 in Ringold, PA, she married Robert O. Wayland. He survives.
She was the owner/operator of Wayland Agway from 1959-1992. The business is still in the family.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois. She was a member of the Bereans at First United Presbyterian Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, liked reading, playing cards, square dancing and camping.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, James Wayland and his wife, Ellen of DuBois, PA, Susan Knarr and her husband, David of DuBois, PA and Kathleen Ito and her husband, Lloyd of Luthersburg, PA, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
Visitation will be held on Dec. 20, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois with Pastor Sarah Ott officiating.
