Police Report: CBPD

  • Police received a complaint from the downtown post office. Someone removed concave mirrors from the post office. They are valued at $150. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 765-7819.
  • Police received a noise complaint on Nichols Street. Officers spoke to the person.
  • Police were called to Elm Street as a resident had garbage cans removed from their property. They were later located.
  • Police were called to Elk Avenue for an attempted theft. Someone attempted to enter a storage shed.
  • Police were called to the area of Cherry and South Fifth Streeets for a report of erratic driving. A white SUV was driving backwards at a high rate of speed near a paving crew and damaging new paving. The driver will be cited.
  • Police assisted a motorist who’s vehicle broke down.
  • Police spoke with a group of kids about jumping off the Market Street bridge and into the river.
  • Officers assisted Lawrence Township police with two domestic disputes.
  • Police responded to East Sixth Street for a report of four-wheelers being operated in the alleys. Officers spoke to the operators.
  • Police assisted the state police with a video arraignment.
  • Police assisted a motorist on South Second Street.
  • Police cited a woman for disorderly conduct for screaming outside her residence.
  • Police cited a man for public intoxication after he was seen staggering at Sheetz.
  • Polie stopped a vehicle on East Market Street for a traffic violation. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to jail on a probation violation. A passenger in the vehicle had an active warrant through the Lawrence Township Police Department and was taken into cutody as well.
  • Police arrested a 23-year-old man for DUI after he nearly struck a police cruiser on Third and Bridge Streets. He was taken to Clearfield County Jail.
  • Police located a man staggering along Bigler Avenue in the Daisy Street area. He was taken to CCJ.
  • Police responded to a report of a disturbance.
  • Police responded to Clearfield Street for a report of kids attempting to jump onto a moving train. The complaint was unfounded.
  • Police responded to Sheetz for a dispute between two women. One kicked the other’s vehicle.
  • Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle became disabled.
