DUBOIS – Roads were a large topic at the Monday night City of DuBois council meeting.

Tower Lane and the Coke Estate road system are one step closer to being declared official roads.  The second reading of the council bills that will declare these roadways part of the City of DuBois were given their second reading.

According to City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio, roadwork is “basically done” on Orange Alley.  The road itself will be fully restored after winter.  Daily Street is next on the list.  Work will be done on both the water and sewer lines.  Weber’s sewer line will be worked on soon after Daily’s.

“We didn’t want to redo Weber till we repaired the sewer line,” said Suplizio.

The council bills pertaining to the 2011 budget and taxes were also given their second readings.

The city building will be closed on Dec. 31 due to the New Year holiday.
