E. Bruce Bargerstock, Age 81 of Oyster Bay Court, Bridgeville, PA; died Nov. 22, 2010 at the Center for Compassionate Care, Pittsburgh, PA. He was formerly of Brooksville, Florida and long time resident of DuBois, PA.
Born on May 9, 1929 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Bruce and Veronica (Burkes). On October 29, 1960 he married Mildred “Dolly” (Miknis) Bargerstock. She survives.
Bruce graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in DuBois, PA. He was a US Army veteran during the Korean Conflict, attended DuBois Business College and graduated from Penn State University in 1956 with a degree in Business Administration. He was employed by Jeffers Electronics, Ideal Products Group, the DuBois Area School District and the Pat McKnight real estate firm, all of DuBois, PA.
He retired in 1986 and spent much of his time playing golf, gardening and spending time in Florida. He was also a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17, DuBois. He was a long time member of the DuBois Country Club and also a member of the Treasure Lake Golf Club in DuBois, PA and Brooksville Golf and Country Club in Brooksville, Florida.
He is survived by a daughter (Heidi (Bargerstock) Durigon and her husband, Drew of Pittsburgh, PA); 1 granddaughter, Ava Durigon; 1 brother John O. “Jack” Bargerstock and his wife Gigi of DuBois, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister (Dorothy (Bargerstock) Kosko)
Visitation will be on Nov. 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick funeral home in DuBois, PA,
A funeral service will be held on Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
