How will the NCAA guide college sports through the next decade? The Monday, Nov. 22, edition of the Big Ten Network sports discussion show "Expert Opinion with Graham Spanier" devotes its entire noon hour to a one-on-one conversation between the host and the new head of the NCAA.

Spanier, who also is president of Penn State, welcomes Mark Emmert, the new NCAA president, to "Expert Opinion," to be taped Nov. 19 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. The show is scheduled to air this Monday (Nov. 22) at noon Eastern time.

Emmert, named to the post on April 27, began his tenure as the fifth NCAA president on Nov. 1. He comes to the organization’s Indianapolis headquarters following six years as president of his alma mater, the University of Washington. Previously, he served as chancellor of Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2004 and also held senior administrative appointments at the University of Connecticut, Montana State University and the University of Colorado.

Spanier and Emmert will discuss the past, present and future of the NCAA, including Emmert’s priorities for his administration. They likely will touch on additional topics ranging from rules enforcement to recruiting practices. Other possible topics include issues from the individual school level to the conference level, and other nationwide college sports concerns.

The show, which debuts Nov. 22 at noon Eastern time on the Big Ten Network, will be rebroadcast at 3 a.m. Eastern time Nov. 23.
