CES Honors Veterans

CLEARFIELD – On Nov. 11, Clearfield Elementary School held an assembly honoring veteran’s.

As part of the assembly, Sg. Terry Davis, who has served in the Army for 31.5 years, gave a  presentation to the students. Davis answered questions from the students, such as: how long has he been in the Army, his likes and dislikes.

Among the activities were readings of patriotic poems and the singing of patriotic songs. Students also learned how to say “Thank You” to a veteran using sign language.

Students provided white roses, donated by Clearfield Florist, to veterans as a gesture of thanks. The veterans included:

Thomas Ammerman Sr., Ronald Brunridge, David Carns, James Catalano, Carl Daniels, Jim Darrow, Chad Dull, Jennifer and Michael Groth, Robert Grimminger, Justin Hainsey, Alfred Pete Hess Sr., Ashley and Dustin Hetrick, Edward Hudson, Steven Krach, Clifford Lockett, Thomas Luzier, Michael Lynch, Joseph Marino, William McConnell, Craig McCracken, Robert Rothrock Sr., Joe Rumfola, Michael Sidorick, Robert Shepler, Don Singleton, Tanner St. Clair, Brian Stucke, Earl Thorp, John Williams and Chuck Gardner.
