Obituary Notice: Virginia S. Lamb

Virginia S. “Ginny” Lamb, 63 of Philipsburg, passed away on Nov. 9, 2010 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born April 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Susan (Desso) Culp.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg; she attended the First Church of Christ in Philipsburg; she was a homemaker but had previously worked for the American Red Cross office in Philipsburg and Healthcare Billing Consultants of Osceola Mills; she was a 1965 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and received her medical secretary training at Career Academy in Northwest Washington, D.C.

On Feb. 28, 1970 in Philipsburg, she married William L. Lamb, who survives at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; on Sept. 4, 1994 by daughter Beth Ann Lamb and brother Lawrece “Larry” Culp.

She is survived by daughter Nicole Granville and her husband William of Philipsburg; sisters Patricia Luther and her companion Mike Munch of Bellefonte, Carol Ipock and her husband Bubby of Moorehead City, NC, and Betty Jo Earnest and her husband Thomas of Osceola Mills; brother Robert “Toby” Culp and his wife Martha of Philipsburg; grandchildren Nicholas Keba of Bensalem, Caitlin, Will and Zeke Granville of RD Philipsburg and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. William M. Fowler officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Nov. 12 from 5-8 p.m. and on Nov. 13 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ, 1437 Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
