Obituary Notice: Ruth Cota Ward

Ruth Cota Ward, age 84, of South Stockdale Street in DuBois, PA died Sept. 14, 2010 in Beccaria Township, Clearfield County.

She was born on April 6, 1926 in DuBois, PA; she was the daughter of the late Chris & Edna (Houston) Cota. 

She was a graduate of DuBois High School.

She worked at B.F. Goodrich in DuBois for 15 years and Rockwell International Manufacturing for 15 years.

She was a very active and independent woman.  She enjoyed reading, painting, and orchestral music.  She volunteered in many various charities in the DuBois area.  She enjoyed walking, especially on the Beaver Meadow Walkway. 

She is survived by a son, Rex Ward and his wife, Margaret of Harrisburg, PA and one sister, Celia May of Wheeling, WV. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Leroy and Boris Cota) and one sister (Dolly Cota Pirraglia.).

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois with Pastor Kenneth Sherwood officiating. 

Memorials may be placed with the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 

 The Goble-Baronick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
