TYRONE — On Monday night at Tyrone Area High School the Mountain Athletic Conference named its fall all-star teams, excluding football.

This was Clearfield’s first year of memebership in the league.

Clearfield was best represented on the girl’s soccer team as first teamers in the Allegheny Division were Emily Barger, BJ Bowman, and Nichole Powers. Second teamers were Candice Morgan and Kristen Butler.

The boy’s soccer team had one player named on each team. First team was Zach Fannin, while receiving  second team honors was Troy Danver.

The girl’s cross country team was represented by Johanna Ryan and Juliann Melgard; while the boy’s team was represented by Adam Jury.

In girl’s tennis Suzie Colesar was named to the first team and Sierra Grice was named Honorable Mention.

Alex Fisher was the lone Clearfielder named to the boy’s golf all-star team.

Look for numerous Clearfield football players to be named in the near future, as Clearfield won the Allegheny Division.
