University Park, Pa. — ESPN’s popular College GameDay Built by the Home Depot program, with host Chris Fowler and analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard, will originate from the Penn State-Ohio State clash on Saturday, Nov. 13, in Columbus, Ohio.

The Nittany Lions will be one of the participating teams at GameDay’s location for the second time this season. The program also originated from the Penn State-Alabama game in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 11.

Penn State (6-3, 3-2) will bring a three-game winning streak into Saturday’s clash of border rivals. The No. 8/7 Buckeyes are 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten and were idle this weekend. The contest will kick at 3:30 p.m. ET in Ohio Stadium and air on ABC (ESPN in outer markets), the Penn State Sports Network and at http://www.GoPSUsports.com online.

College GameDay begins every Saturday at 9 a.m. on ESPNU and moves to ESPN from 10 a.m. to noon ET. The GameDay crew will be on ESPN and ABC with other live segments throughout the day. The program is open to the public.

Saturday’s broadcast marks the eighth time College GameDay has originated from a Penn State game in the past six seasons. The program was in Happy Valley for the 2005 and 2007 Ohio State contests and the 2009 Iowa game. College GameDay also originated from Penn State’s games at Ohio State (2006 and 2008), Michigan State (2005) and Alabama (2010).

College GameDay also originated from the 1996 and ’98 Penn State at Ohio State games, making this Saturday’s visit the seventh time in the last 15 years the program has been on hand for the clash between the national powers.

In addition, College GameDay originated from Penn State for the 1999 Pigskin Classic against Arizona and the 1997 game against Michigan.

This year marks the 17th consecutive season College GameDay Built by the Home Depot is originating from the site of the day’s biggest game. Fowler, Corso and Herbstreit are in their 15th season together on College GameDay.

Penn State rallied from a 21-0 deficit to defeat Northwestern, 35-21, on Saturday, giving Coach Joe Paterno his 400th career victory. The Hall of Fame mentor became the first Football Bowl Subdivision (Div. I-A) coach to win 400 games and just the third all-time among all NCAA divisions. Quarterback Matt McGloin (Scranton) threw a career-high four touchdown passes, leading Penn State to five consecutive touchdown drives in an electric Beaver Stadium. Linebacker Michael Mauti (Mandeville, La.) recorded a career-high 11 tackles (10 solo), with 3.0 TFL, to help the Lions shut out the Wildcats in the second half.

Penn State and Ohio State will be meeting for the 26th time and 18th consecutive year on Saturday. The Buckeyes have a 13-12 series edge, with the visiting team winning the last three meetings. In its last visit to Columbus, Penn State earned a 13-6 victory, in 2008.
