Obituary Notice: Jeanne E. London Sperl

Jeanne E. London Sperl, age 90, of McNeilly Road in Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Arminta Street in DuBois, PA died Oct. 11, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1920 in Greenville, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Junk) Freeman 

She married Raymond C. London.  He preceded her in death in September of 1983.  Later, she married Francis X. Sperl.  He preceded her in death in February of 2005.

She was a graduate of Buhl Hospital School of Nursing. 

She was a registered nurse at both the DuBois and Maple Avenue Hospitals.  For many years, she was a private duty nurse. 

She was member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.  She was formerly a member of the DuBois Registered Nurses Club.  She enjoyed playing BINGO at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and DuBois Central Christian School.

She is survived by her children:  Mary Beth Gibbon and her husband, John of Harrison City, PA, Sally Larson and her husband, Ron of Pittsburgh, PA and Raymond P. London of Portland, TN, one brother, William Freeman of Wheeling, WV, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three sisters, Mary K. Freeman, Margaret Urda, and Lucretia Ramsey, and two brothers, Francis and Raymond Freeman.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant 

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to D.R.M.C., 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
