JONES TOWNSHIP – A Kane man died as a result of an accident at a well drilling site on Monday morning.
According to the state police in Ridgway, Stephen F. Jones, 42 of Kane, was struck on the head by a large pipe fitting. Elk County Coroner Louis Radkowski pronounced Jones dead at the scene.
Police were assisted by Rescue 611 from the Wilcox Volunteer Fire Department.
