FALLS CREEK – The state police in DuBois are investigating an incident involving two kids and a stolen car.

According to the police, the two kids walked away from the Pentz Run Facility where they had been placed by Children, Youth and Family Services. They walked to Falls Creek Borough where they stole a vehicle and drove it to Huston Township.

A pursuit of the stolen vehicle was initiated by the Sandy Township Police Department. The pursuit continued into the City of DuBois where the kids’ vehicle struck two occupied vehicles at the intersection of West Long Avenue and Main Street.

STPD Officer Travis Goodman pulled in front of the vehicle in an attempt to box it in. According to police the kids struck Goodman’s vehicle several times in an attempt to escape.

The report did not indicate if Goodman suffered any injuries.

The pursuit ended and both kids were taken into custody by the STPD and DuBois City Police Department. State troopers then took custody of the kids and released them to a juvenile probation officer. The kids were then taken to the Bellefonte Detention Center.
