  • Police responded to the Hillsdale area for a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was later found at a residence.
  • Police are investigating a reported retail theft at a local business. Charges are pending.
  • Police and the K-9 unit from the St. Marys Police Department conducted a sweep of the school for drugs. Officers and school officials are pleased to announce that the sweep did not locate any illegal drugs.
  • Officers handled an incident of harassment. The investigation uncovered that the call was a prank from an out-of-state relative. The recipient of the call was relieved and declined pressing charges.
  • Police responded to a 911 hand-up call at a local business. Officers arrived and found that the establishment was experiencing phone trouble because of the weather.
  • Officers were called to a minor accident. The matter was handled at the scene.
  • Police responded to several traffic hazards due to the weather.
  • Police are investigating an assault that took place at a local retail establishment. Officers have a person of interest.
  • Police were notified of a structure fire on Bloomington-Glen Richey Highway. Fire personnel were able to extinguish the fire, which turned out to be an electrical box.
  • Police responded to Washington Avenue for a two-vehicle accident. One person was injured. Officers were assisted by the Hyde Fire Department and Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.
  • Police responded to a single-vehicle accident, hit-and-run on Evans Road. An unknown vehicle spun off the road and damaged a resident’s fence. Officers are looking for a light blue truck or SUV missing a fog light. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
  • Police were called to Mojo’s for a report of an assault. A known woman bit a bouncer while he was removing her from the bar.
